Right now 14 people are running to be mayor of San Antonio, three city councilmen are vacating, six people are running for the district 8 seat, ten are running for the district 9 seat, ten are running for the district 10 seat, and there is an $850 Million Bond on our May ballot.
So this month we will host candidates from the races for San Antonio City Council. We will have the chance to personally ask them about city issues that concern us and make our own judgments.
We know city elections have incredibly low turnout, so learning what is at stake and getting our peers out to vote will have measurable effects. Our city, our neighborhoods, our traffic, our water, our tax money, our parks, our services, our safety and our quality of life are in the hands of the people at city hall, so let’s raise the bar for the candidates.
Please join us for what will be a lively and educational forum with the candidates on city issues that will affect you in the near future.
At our meeting food is available to order, and the atmosphere is casual and family-friendly.
